Fibromyalgia Self-Test: What is behind your symptoms?

Do you suspect that your pain and symptoms could be related to fibromyalgia? Or have you already received the diagnosis and want to understand your symptoms better? These two tests give you an initial medical orientation — free, clear, and without registration.

Important notice: A diagnosis can only be made by a physician. These tests are for orientation purposes only and do not replace a visit to a doctor. Similar symptoms can also have other causes.

This test is based on official fibromyalgia diagnostic criteria. It checks two things: how widespread your pain is and how severe your accompanying symptoms are. Please answer all questions for the past week.

Does your result show signs of fibromyalgia? Or has the diagnosis already been confirmed? Are you looking for more clarity and support? You don't have to walk this path alone.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about the test

What is fibromyalgia?

Fibromyalgia is a chronic pain syndrome characterised by widespread muscle and joint pain, fatigue, and sleep disturbances. The diagnosis is based on clinical criteria (WPI and SSS score).

How does the fibromyalgia self-test work?

The test is based on the official ACR diagnostic criteria: the Widespread Pain Index (WPI), which records affected body regions, and the Symptom Severity Score (SSS), which assesses symptom intensity. The result provides initial medical orientation — but does not replace a visit to a doctor.

Can the test confirm a fibromyalgia diagnosis?

No. The test is for orientation purposes only. A diagnosis can only be made by a physician. Similar symptoms can also have other causes.

What comes after the test?

After the test you will receive an assessment of your symptoms. If fibromyalgia is suspected, we recommend the free guide by Dr. med. Kathrin De Beer and the FibroCoach community for professional support.
